The New Northumbria Hotel was originally terraced houses, before being developed into a hotel in the 1950s. The Malhotra Group acquired the New Northumbria Hotel in May 2010 and undertook an extensive refurbishment during April 2011. Future plans for the New Northumbria Hotel include additional bedrooms and an exciting new on site restaurant. There are currently 55 en-suite bedrooms, Osbornes diner and bar and Scalini’s Italian restaurant onsite. Local shops, including Waitrose, Tesco and Boots, are just a two minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast is served between 7am and 9.30am Monday to Friday and between 7.30am and 10am Saturdays and Sundays. Room service is available Monday – Friday between noon and 9.30pm. Check in is from 2pm. Standard check out is 11am daily. All of our rooms are dog friendly, so please inform us if you wish to bring your canine friend along with you.

Hi this hotel was fabulous. Situated on Osborne road in the middle of lots of other bars. The hotel was very clean, and the bars were great and it only cost £5 for a taxi into city centre. Breakfast was nice with lots of options. The staff couldn't have been any nicer or helpful. The whole experience very good.
